Second of two papers written in response to criticism from Dr. Francesco barone Ungern-Sternberg, published in the same volume of Lombroso's Archivio (1883: »»). Subject of the first paper was the physiognomy of male criminals. For this paper, Drs. Marro and Lombroso catalog the physiognomic anomalies of female prostitutes and criminals. The photo composite was republished in the enlarged third edition of L'uomo delinquente (1884: »»).
