Leucoderma is a congenital disorder that affects the pigmentation in hair (vitiligo) and derma (canities) giving this characteristic white splatter look to the skin. I claim this malady for all painters. I reserve it for that distant time when we will choose the disease we want as a guest in our bodies. By then we will have learned how to innoculate against a myriad of contagions by providing host to a single strain, writing its letters in with the letters of one’s own name.

So let comics take up with risus and poets with urticaria, I invite leucoderma to come live in my house. My walls papered with candescent symbols, I will learn to paint without a brush.
