M. Tillaux avait fait préparer dans ce but, au laboratoire de Clamart, par M. Leriche, externe des hôpitaux, une main gauche sur laquelle avaient été injectées les bourses synoviales des tendons fléchisseurs de la paume de la main. C'est cette piéce qui est annexée à cette observation et que M. de Montméja a fait photographier.

The dissected hand shown in the photograph is not that of the patient, but simply an anatomical preparation used to illustrate the tendons discussed by Tillaux in this case. He limits his diagnosis to chronic inflammation of the flexor tendons, but speculates that a fungal synovitis, synovite fongueuse, might show itself if treatment were deferred.
