Washington: Surgeon General's Office, 1876.
Photographs: 59 mounted albumens.
Subject: orthopedic surgery.
Only two copies of this album are known to exist. All the photographs are copies of images that were originally printed for Photographs of Surgical Cases and Specimens. Resection surgery must have been a specialty for Otis, a subject he treated with a monograph issued seven years earlier (Cordasco 60-1352: Circular no. 2, Jan. 2 1869. A report on excisions of the head of the femur for gunshot injury. GPO, 1869. 141p. 3 plates).
